Of special note is the fully functional covered bridge, adorned with hand-carved ornamentation, which crosses a stream along the drive leading up to the entrance of the home and serves as a gateway of sorts to an estate where arcadian tradition meets modern sensibility.

At Cumin, a superb Indian fusion destination at 3720 Erie Avenue, that has already been taken care of, courtesy of a Hindu priest who blessed the restaurant in a traditional ceremony when it reopened at this location in 2006. Whether you call it divine intervention or old-fashioned hard work and ingenuity, our recent dinner there was heavenly.
